Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra – Cowboy Jamboree
Mosey on down to Jacoby Symphony Hall for a real live Cowboy Jamboree! Set in Texas prior to the Civil War, thematic cowboy poetry humorously depicts life in the archetypal “Old West” and follows the story of a restless young man who gives up farming in Tennessee and moves out west to “work in the saddle.” Come hear the stories of String Bean the Cook Camp, Dusty the Trail Rider and the Yellow Kid, along with music evocative of the American West. It will be a rootin’, tootin’ good time for your little cowpokes!
Pre-concert activities begin at 2:00pm.
