The Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam roars into EverBank Field this Saturday, March 3. Racing starts on the track precisely at 7 p.m., as 16 of the world’s most famous Monster Jam monster trucks take on a mega man-made dirt track full of incredible obstacles, cars, buses, motor homes, and more. This annual motor sports spectacle has become one of Jacksonville’s largest family events of the year, and boasts being the biggest single day monster truck event in the world with over 70,000 fans having attended each of the past 4 years in a row.

Plenty of good tickets remain now and will remain through event day this Saturday at the stadium, with prices starting at only $10 plus facility fees and service charges. Tickets remain on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets, the Veterans Memorial Arena Box Office, charge by phone at 800-745-3000, or online at www.ticketmaster.com… tickets will also be available at EverBank Field on Saturday only. Gates open at 5 p.m., and the main event starts again this year at an earlier time of 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to get there early to stay out of the traffic, get better parking, and be sure not to miss any of the show action that will start promptly at 7 p.m.!

Before the show, enjoy the interactive “Party in the Pits” from 1:30 – 5 p.m., where fans can view the trucks up close and meet the drivers… a great reason to make an entire day out of this huge event. Free Pit Passes are available at participating Southern Ford Dealers while supplies last, or they may be purchased Saturday for $10 each up until 4:15 p.m. at EverBank Field. A valid event ticket, along with the Pit Pass, is required for entry into the Pit Party.

Grave Digger fans won’t want to miss the Grave Digger 30th Anniversary Experience, as part of the Monster Jam pre-show Party in the Pits. The Grave Digger 30th Anniversary Experience, which is traveling to a very limited number of cities, features a historical timeline from Grave Digger’s humble beginning to its rise in popularity, including the ORIGINAL Grave Digger truck from the early 1980’s, a full size Grave Digger Simulator that fans can get behind the wheel of, and 250,000 piece K’NEX “big build” full scale replica model of the Grave Digger, and of course the all-new 30th Anniversary Grave Digger race truck with a custom 1 year only new paint scheme and legendary creator and driver of the Grave Digger, Dennis Anderson!

This year’s Monster Jam will also feature the Biggest Female driver battle ever – 3 female drivers with the Jax DEBUT of Scarlet Bandit driven by Dawn Creten, Monster Mutt Dalmatian driven by Courtney Jolly, and 2-Time World Champ Madusa driven by Madusa.

Approximately 12 feet tall and about 12 feet wide, monster trucks are custom-designed machines that sit atop 66-inch-tall tires and weigh at least 10,000 pounds. Built for short, highpowered bursts of speed, the trucks generate 1,500 to 2,000 horsepower and are capable of speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. Monster trucks can fly up to 125 to 130 feet (a distance greater than 14 cars side by side) and up to 35 feet in the air.
